Strangers on a Train

It’s a testament to the strength of Hitch’s direction and this movie’s premise, which was drawn from Patricia Highsmith’s novel—two men meet on a train, one departs believing that they’ve agreed to commit murder for each other—that it works in spite of Farley Granger’s wooden performance in the lead role.
