For some reason, Sollima never seems to get namechecked when folks discuss the genre’s history. But his best film, in which badass-for-hire Lee Van Cleef tracks down a frontier rapist, makes a strong case for the director taking his place beside fellow Sergios Leone and Corbucci in the spaghetti Hall of Fame. This is the complete Italian version, not the edited edition released stateside.
