Coppola may not have done his best work in the ’80s, but he hadn’t lost his eye for new talent. This moody adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s novel features such little-knowns as Tom Cruise, Matt Dillon, Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze and Ralph Macchio. Screening as part of IFC's "Queer/Art/Film" series, the film will be shown in its "director's cut" version and introduced by author Michelle Tea.
