The Son of the Bride

A myocardial infarction lands restaurateur Rafael flat on his back. Turns out, however, that his heart problems are not only real but patently metaphorical. All the Hollywood clichés necessary for a schlocky crowd-pleaser are present, but director Juan José Campanella manages to create a charmer that’s vibrant and true to life.
