Villa Amalia + Deep in the Woods

Two features by French director Benoît Jacquot make up this program. In Villa Amalia (2009), Isabelle Huppert leaves Paris for Naples, ending up at the titular villa where, we can only assume, Huppertian havoc is wreaked. In Deep in the Woods (2010), a young villager played by Isild Le Besco falls under the Svengali spell of a drifter. What’s a poor femme to do?
