Werckmeister Harmonies

A film of ideas—to a fault. Tarr’s gorgeous b&w cinematography dazzles the eyes; keeping your eyelids open for the duration is the tricky part. The explanation of this film’s title alone will suffice to drive all but the hardiest cinephiles out of the theater.
