Bastille Day at Jacques Bistro

Celebrate Bastille Day at this two-part Gallic fete. Start upstairs at Jacques Bistro with a rustic spread of whole, smoked barbecue pig, corn on the cob and mashed potatoes ($17.89); while you eat, enjoy pitchers of cocktails ($17.89) to the sounds of Edith Piaf and other French tunes. At midnight, the party moves downstairs to 1534, a cocktail den tucked beneath the restaurant. There you'll be greeted with a burlesque performance from Anne Louise Marquis, plus absinthe-tinged concoctions like boozy root-beer floats ($10) and gratis Popsicles made with punch.
