Time Out says

Restaurant consultant Clark Wolf moderates this free panel discussion, which marks the opening of food historian and journalist Judith Weinraub's new oral history archive, Voices from the Food Revolution: People Who Changed the Way Americans Eat., which features interviews and stories about American culinary culture over the past 50 years, and currently includes more than 30 accounts from people who personally knew or worked with James Beard. The lady of the hour will join the conversation with other food experts, like NYU food-studies professor Marion Nestle, Laena McCarthy (owner of Anarchy in a Jar) and urban farmer Ben Flanner (Brooklyn Grange); they will discuss the oral transfer of knowledge and skills in the fields of cooking and farming. Hang around for the postpanel reception, where you can try items from Brooklyn Grange and Anarchy in a Jar. E-mail rsvp.bobst@nyu.edu to reserve a place.
