The Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails (LUPEC), an organization of female booze enthusiasts, hosts this portcentric happy hour. The gals behind the stick—including LUPEC NYC heads Lynette Marrero and Meaghan Dorman—will execute a menu of five $5 cocktails, utilizing fortified wine from producers like Taylor Fladgate, Fonseca and Croft. Try the Trafalgar Punch—created by cocktail historian David Wondrich (Punch) to simulate British punches drunk on ships at sea—made with Taylor Fladgate 10 Year-Old Tawny port, Larressingle VSOP Armagnac, Wray & Nephew White Overproof rum, lemon, sugar and nutmeg. All proceeds will be donated to the Adventure Project, a nonprofit organization supporting mostly female entrepreneurs in developing countries.
