Join Red Jacket Orchards' Mike Biltonen as he discusses the history and harvesting of heirloom apples, as well their optimal uses in cooking. He'll bring along over six varieties—such as Baldwin, Newtown Pippin and Keepsake—from his upstate orchard for tasting, as well as some from neighboring farms. In addition, attendees can sip both hard and nonalcoholic heirloom-apple ciders.
