Chef, author and former Slow Food Berkeley leader Tamar Adler explains how to make the most of ordinary fridge and pantry ingredients, such as eggs, at this intimate, hands-on workshop. She'll discuss the back-to-basics food philosophy detailed in her book, An Everlasting Meal, inspired by M.F.K. Fisher's WWII tome How to Cook a Wolf and its message of simple, economical cooking during rationing. Then she'll demonstrate how to use basic preparation methods like chopping and boiling to cook items such as salsa verde. Proceeds benefit Just Food.
