Noodle guru Ivan Orkin takes over Brooklyn Kitchen for a special chef's dinner, giving a sneak peek of the ramen menu from his soon-to-open LES joint. As guests slurp away, Orkin will share stories of cooking in Tokyo and from his own Japanese noodle education. The two-and-a-half-hour, six-course dinner will feature spicy fried ramen, pickled daikon, herring battera (Osaka-style square, pressed sushi) and creamy summer tsukemen. Local tipples such as Brooklyn Brewery beer and a Mast Brothers collaborative sake will be paired with each plate.
