Long Island City Homebrew Tour

Taste your way through Long Island City's home-brew landscape with this tour led by TONY contributor Joshua M. Bernstein (author of The Complete Beer Course). Beer buffs Mike Gilliard and Michael Cabrera open their apartments to pour samples from their own kegerators—Gilliard will have a lager, a sour and an ale on tap, while Cabrera will pour an amber and an apricot brew. Chat with both about their respective styles before heading to Rockaway Brewing Company's headquarters. Over tastes of their summer sippers (Rockaway ESB and Old School IPA), brewmasters Ethan Long and Marcus Burnett will discuss how they turned a shared hobby into a full-blown business.
