Appellation Wine & Spirits christens its new tasting room with a night of New York–bred meat and whiskey. Kings County Distillery cofounder Colin Spoelman and Jake Dickson of Dickson's Farmstand Meats will share pearls of wisdom during a discussion moderated by husband-and-wife team Gabrielle Langholtz (Edible Manhattan) and Craig Haney (Stone Barns Center). Guests can sample Kings County moonshine, bourbon and chocolate whiskey, accompanied by Dickson's pork rillettes, capocollo and beef shoulder prepared sous vide.
