Urban Chili Cook-Off

A ticket gets you unlimited stew tastings and a vote for the People’s Choice award, while judges like Cathy Erway of Not Eating Out in New York and Amy Zavatto of Edible Manhattan choose their own winner. Wash down the bowls at the Jimmy’s No. 43 cash bar, where bartenders pour quaffs like the Peekskill Eastern Standard IPA ($7) and hard ciders from Slyboro Cider House ($8). Event proceeds go toward the Community Vision Council’s urban garden initiatives.
