The basement of Le Parker Meridien, one of midtown’s swankiest hotels, is transforming into a 20,000-square-foot beauty mecca. Dubbed the Underground, the area will boast a nail salon (tenoverten), full-service spa (Moonshine Spa), gym (Gravity Fitness) and the second NYC location of this California blowout chain (following the success of its Flatiron spot). Outfitted with chic tufted loveseats, flatscreen TVs playing chick flicks and a giant marble bar flanked by nine salon chairs, the space is a girly haven where you can get your locks coiffed for a night out. Grab a complimentary glass of champagne or fruit-infused water and plug in your iPhone at the charging dock before settling in for a signature blowout, which includes a shampoo and flatironing ($40). Other, cheekily named services include UpTinis (more commonly known as updos, $80) and Hair Shot conditioning treatments ($20).
