Having polished her craft at several elite salons, like Rita Hazan and Birds & Fellas, stylist Lorean Cairns opened her first space on the Lower East Side. Fox & Jane was inspired by London’s pub scene, and clients can sample the salon’s gratis signature punch cocktail (made with rum or gin, guava and coconut juices, and garnished with a lime) while their locks get some TLC. Men’s cuts cost $50, with complimentary neckline cleanups offered between appointments. Cairns charges a flat rate for women’s chops, so tresses of all lengths can get trimmed for $63. Single-process color is $83, and full-highlight services are $163. Clients can also opt for texture treatments, such as a keratin smoothing therapy ($170–$223). Sip some free beer or wine while you get the Before You Go Out blowout ($53) or the Pre-Game ($33) version for short locks; both services combine a conditioning treatment, scalp massage and blow-dry.
