After finding success with her first retail space at the Limelight Marketplace, Angela Jia Kim opened a flagship boutique and beauty lounge showcasing the high-end organic skin-care line she launched in 2007. A former concert pianist, Kim was inspired to develop Om Aroma & Co. when she suffered a bad reaction to a supposedly natural body lotion just before a performance. The resulting products are completely free of chemicals (like parabens, formaldehyde, mineral oil, synthetic fragrances and dyes). Plus, they can be used in conjunction with one another as part of a comprehensive antiaging skin-care regimen. Exfoliating cleansers made with crushed champagne grape seeds, rosemary extract and aloe restore radiance and revitalize skin ($42), while age-defying truffle-based organic face creams combat fine lines ($72). Take control of crow’s-feet with the best-selling Good Morning, Bright Eyes repair kit ($100), which includes Om’s regenerating pumpkin seed night serum and an organic caviar eye cream infused with a bevy of botanical extracts. Care for your body with products like cream derived from chardonnay grape seeds and whipped shea butter ($42) and an exfoliating scrub made with sugar crystals ($42). When you’re done shopping, head to the on-site beauty lounge for an Om antiaging facial and massage (30 minutes, $75) that targets facial muscles and pressure points to diminish the tension lines that develop over time.
