You don't need to hop on a plane to the South of France to experience a little Riviera glamour. Just minutes from Southampton Village, Capri Southampton brings the spirit of St. Tropez and St. Barths to the Hamptons with stylish accommodations, French-inspired dining and a lively poolside scene.
The 29-room boutique hotel has undergone a $1.5 million makeover, refreshing its guest rooms, lobby, restaurant and outdoor spaces with a breezy coastal aesthetic. Think: modern interiors, warm textures and understated luxury that feels more European beach club than traditional Hamptons hideaway.
Accommodations include 26 Club Rooms and three private suites, the latter featuring separate living areas for guests looking to spread out. Premium king rooms offer high ceilings and sunroofs that let in plenty of natural light. Rooms also come with thoughtful touches like luxury linens, plush robes, complimentary stocked minibars, premium bath products and welcome baskets filled with snacks, drinks and vacation essentials.
The hotel's dining scene has received an upgrade with the arrival of Maison Close Southampton, a Hamptons outpost of the popular French-Mediterranean restaurant in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood. Designed with the South of France in mind, the restaurant serves elevated French bistro fare, handcrafted cocktails and a curated wine selection. Michelin-trained chef Geoffrey Lechantoux leads the kitchen, combining classic French techniques with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. On a recent visit, we had a truly memorable Steak Au Poivre and tableside visit from an in-house magician. (Yes, you read that correctly.)
Beyond its playful vibe and comfortable rooms, Capri Southampton regularly hosts seasonal pop-ups, designer collaborations and special events. Whether you're planning a weekend escape from the city or a longer Hamptons vacation, it's an appealing option for travelers looking to combine poolside relaxation with nightlife happenings.
