Time Out says

While most New Yorkers avoid Times Square like the plague, there’s something to be said for it’s prime location and easy commutes to the other parts of Manhattan. If you are looking for a hotel with the all the amenities and a central location, look no further than the Casablanca Hotel at 43rd Street and 7th Ave. This six-floor, boutique, 1940’s themed hotel (named after the classic Humphrey Bogart movie Casablanca) is perfect for first time visitors or seasoned Big Apple tourists.

The tucked-away Casablanca Hotel offers a ton of amenities that make it a cozy hideaway after a day of sightseeing. Guests are offered complimentary continental breakfast daily and a wine-and-cheese happy hour in Rick’s Cafe on the second floor of the hotel. Hotel rooms are sizeable for being in the middle of one of Manhattan’s top tourist destinations. Keeping with the 1940’s theme, rooms are decked out with wicker furniture, but hold true to the 21st century with DVD players and a complimentary DVD library. Movies range from the hotel’s namesake to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

If you are in town with the family, make sure to stop by Tony's di Napoli restaurant. This family-style Italian restaurant is pretty popular, so make sure to get there early. Large portions of steaming hot pasta are served by friendly waiters who are knowledgeable about Italian cuisine.

The Casablanca Hotel is certainly a bargain, given the prime location, the exuberant amenities, and personable staff. If there is anything you can be certain of you will have a fantastic sleep during your stay.

TIME OUT TIP: Feel like Times Square is way too hectic for you? Start a happy hour early and head to Beer Culture. This little place has a great selection of craft beer and a laid back environment that is great for taking a break after a busy day in the city. While patrons have their pick of craft beers, guests also have their pick of hand crafted paninis and delicious bratwursts to go along with their artisanal beer.
