Every New Yorker fantasizes of a few things when it comes to the perfect apartment; rent controlled and perfect views. Ink48, a Kimpton Hotel, delivers on the perfect views to the T. Located on the edges of Hell’s Kitchen, right on the Hudson River waterfront, you will find views that are to die for.

The thing to know about a Kimpton Hotel(s) chain, is that they coined the term “boutique hotel”. They believe personalization and getting to know each of their guests is the key to making a spectacular stay. Specifically at Ink48, the pride themselves on catering to the “bleisure” crowd (business + leisure). Rooms and conference spaces have recently be renovated that allow you to connect and socialize with ease. Guest rooms have been stylized with a New York runway apartment in mind, with large windows that allow you to take in Midtown Manhattan views from the comfort of your King size bed (which you will be melting into). Rooms are designed with a simplistic elegance. White washed walls and earthy tones with pops of color make the rooms stand out with sophistication.

When you get the motivation to leave your room, head down to Ink48’s restaurant PRINT. This farm-to-table restaurant has delectable bites that will leave you wanting more. Start off the grilled quail (with fig truffle sauce and sauteed romaine), for your entree the red snapper is what dreams are made of. Served with a butternut squash puree, swiss chard, and toasted pumpkin seeds all bathed in a citrus sauce which leave the snapper falling off your fork. End this delicious meal (if you still have room that is) with the house favorite of butterscotch custard for dessert.

Ink 48 has the characteristics of style, sophistication and elegance that are a must for a Hell’s Kitchen hotel. But what really makes this hotel a cut above the rest is their care for their client’s; they make sure that while you are at Ink48, whether it’s for a night or a 2 week vacation, you are part of the Ink48 experience and family.

TimeOut Tip: Being close to Hell’s Kitchen, one of New York’s most colorful neighborhoods, is definitely one of the perks of Ink48. So make sure to take a nice 10 minute walk to Mickey Spillane’s at 49th and 9th. This hot spot is well known for its all day $5 frozen margarita special, great party playlists and buffalo chicken nachos. Perfect place for a happy hour after a day of exploring the city!

Ink 48 Hotel features what is probably the most classy rooftop experience New York City can offer. Up high providing a full glimpse at the midtown section of the city as well as of the Hudson River right at the Intrepid museum pier, this lounge is unique in its architecture. The rooftop is purposely highlighted by the long illuminated pool that adds a hint of exclusiveness to the breathtaking views of Manhattan! This is a very touristy and popular spot to indulge on some very exclusive drinks. I went to celebrate my birthday last year and had an amazing night on a warm September afternoon... the small bites such as an order of olives with crackers and a cheese platter made it a more complete experience. Awesome rooftop bar & lounge... Visitors are for the most part elegantly dressed and they easily socialize with other night goers. I recommend this rooftop without any reservations.
