Time Out says

3 out of 5 stars
If you want to immerse yourself in the pulsing heart of Times Square, check in to this redesigned hotel, part of the European Accor group (which also includes luxury brand Sofitel). Architecture and design firm Stonehill & Taylor brought elements of the dazzling, dynamic surroundings to the interiors of the 33-story tower. Illuminated wall and ceiling panels in the check-in area riff on the hexagonal LEDs of the New Year’s Eve ball. You can get a glimpse of the famed animated billboards from the glass-walled restaurant and bar, and its 5,700-square-foot wraparound terrace, which is warmed by two large fire pits. Wisely, the design team kept special effects out of the spare, contemporary guest rooms, which have a cool-beige color scheme and sleek pear-wood–veneer furnishings. Room amenities include 46-inch flatscreen TVs, soundproof windows you can actually open and, instead of a costly minibar, a handy fridge to store your own drinks and snacks. Rooms: 480.
