- With one obvious exception, toy stories don’t have the luckiest big-screen pedigree: The results are often either sugary cartoons for undemanding kids or noisy blockbusters for brain-dead teens. If the producers of The LEGO Movie had taken either ...Read more
- Overblown in almost every respect (not only its giant ape), Kong: Skull Island is the kind of Hollywood fever dream that, in its first few minutes alone, throws at you a WWII bomber crash, a sizzling montage of Cold War nuclear escalation and a wi...Read more

YES, YES and YES! I LOVE this movie theatre! All the seats are pretty much lazy boys that recline fully. They're so comfortable, I've not made it through one film without falling asleep... My only criticism is that the films shown there aren't the best selection of new releases.
AMC Loews 84th Street is hands down the best chain movie theater in Manhattan. All seating is reservation only which mean NO LINES! All of the seats also recline and are cushy (cushy enough to almost fall asleep during a movie). One thing to note, I have pretty severe motion sickness and am always wary of watching action movies (especially 3D) in theaters. However, I’ve had only pleasant experiences here (Gravity and Jurassic World in 3D), and I think it’s because the the seats are a good distance from the screen. I am willing to come all the way to the Upper West Side to watch movies here.
