Enjoy films on Jewish themes and a Q&A with four guest speakers at this online festival streaming via Zoom to an international audience. The schedule is as follows:

Sunday, August 16 at noon: "The Light of Fire"

A touching and up-close film that tells the story of Yoram Raanan, an American-Israeli artist, as he rebuilds from a sudden fire that destroyed forty years of his work. It's a story about resolve in the face of loss, but also about faith, family and searching for a sense of place. Featuring Q&A with Meira Raanan, author of “Art of Revelation: A Visual Encounter with the Jewish Bible." 

Sunday, August 16 at 7:30pm: “In Between”

Dana and Amit met when they were 25 and married and had 2 children. Soon after their second child, Amit turned ultra-orthodox. Dana stayed secular. They are still very much in love. Will their love be able to overcome the growing gaps between them? Featuring Q&A with Sarah Karmely, speaker on family purity and relationships

Thursday, August 20 at 7:30pm: “The Unorthodox” 

The Unorthodox is an Israeli film depicting the establishment of the Shas political party as the protagonist, Yaakov Cohen (Shuli Rand), is driven to form a religious political party representing the interests of Sephardic Jews in Israel. Featuring Q&A with Professor Ronnie Perelis, Professor of Sephardic Studies at Yeshiva University
