I stumbled onto the place last May and wound up being so impressed I joined the Society. Besides paying dues I don't have any financial connection to the place but am certainly not at this point objective. But maybe that's worth hearing about even so.
These folks are certainly conscientious enough about their general dealings that I'm not surprised at the good reviews from the renters even though I'm not involved with the business side. Certainly the Building & Grounds Committee works its butts off keeping the place beautiful while even managing to save for things like wheelchair access.
Ethical Culture itself isn't that hard to sum up surprisingly. As far as I can see all I've really agreed to sign on for is.
1. To elicit the best in others and therefore elicit the best in myself.
2. Communications agreements within the group such as handling conflicts in person rather than email.
3. A life dedicated to personal growth and my vision of social progress.
So I'm going to go out on a limb and give the organization I'm a member of five stars because that's just the kind of guy I am!
