Time Out says

In school, most of us were taught a Eurocentric view of the world, and it's rare that we get Indigenous prespectives on topics like astronomy. The American Museum of Natural History is bringing us just that with an event that will feature a presentation by the Indigenous teacher Samantha Doxtator, Haudenosaunee, Oneida (Wolf Clan).

The stars, moon and celestial bodies have always been an important part of Native American culture that gave birth to creation stories, deepened knowledge about the life cycles of earth, and contributed plenty to modern-day astrological knowedge. Catch the presentation at the museum's Hayden Planetarium Space Theater starting at 7pm on February 20.
