A House in Bali

Composer Evan Ziporyn's eclectic, hybrid style—a mix of Balinese tradition and downtown New York innovation—seems tailor-made for this opera, a setting of American composer Colin McPhee's memoir. Ziporyn and the Bang on a Can All-Stars perform with the members of Gamelan Salukat in this production directed by Jay Scheib.
