A Sunny Day in Glasgow, which actually hails from Philly and Montreal, serves up yearning, expansive shoegaze that ironically sets its grandiose sights skyward. Genre tags sit loosely with this band at best, but its most recent full-length, Sea When Absent, reworks synth-pop elements with an experimental edge.
