Part of a larger initiative meant to celebrate Africa's burgeoning creativity rather than dwelling solely on its social and political problems, Afrika21 celebrates its mixtape series and new radio show with an unofficial CMJ bill featuring artists from South Africa (Nomsa Mazwai), Nigeria (Kahli Abdu), Ethiopia (Sheba) and Sierra Leone (Chief Boima, Lamin Fofana).
