The first vocal recital of the George London Foundation's fine series features this married pair; both husband and wife have been moving up in the opera world since they each won the George London Award five years ago. Soprano Pérez will sing the world premiere of Thomas Pasatieri's Bel Canto Songs as well as Spanish songs by Obradors and excerpts from Verdi's Otello. For his part, the tenor Costell will perform music by Liszt and Tosti before joining his spouse in the Cherry Duet from Mascagni's L'amico Fritz.
