Alan Ferber Big Band

Trombonist-composer Alan Ferber seems most at home at the head of a large ensemble, and that's where he'll be on Nov 28 and 29—showing off rich, sophisticated arrangements executed with a nimbly funky touch. Here, expect to hear from the recent March Sublime, which features a cover of Björk's "Hyperballad," as well as plenty of the leader's compelling originals.
