Alasdair Roberts and Friends

Fine Scottish song man Alasdair Roberts—who is admired by Will Oldham, no less—made his name heading the melancholy outfit Appendix Out, before becoming more absorbed in the traditional folk balladry of the British Isles. He's toured with such like minds as Joanna Newsom, A Hawk and a Hacksaw, and Shirley Collins, and this year released A Wonder Working Stone on Drag City.
