Foster Reed's experimental-music label New Albion brings a pair of ambient acts to John Zorn's East Village club tonight as part of its July residency. The first set belongs to Alexander Turnquist, who uses a 12-string guitar to create pointillistic long-form works. He's joined by pianist Liam Singer, violinist Christopher Tignor and Matthew Koren on vibes. Tignor, along with bandmates Colin Jacobsen on violin and pianist Margaret Kampmeier, imbues the late-night slot with some of the gorgeous, transporting soundscapes from his 2009 album, Core Memory Unwound.
