Alexi Murdoch

The British singer-songwriter Alexi Murdoch may be best known for his hit "Orange Sky," but his more recent work is far better. His forthcoming second album, Towards the Sun, expunges any hint of soft rock, supplanting it with a confident minimalism and songs that unfurl at a dreamlike crawl. For tonight's Songbook Series show, he goes to town with strings and horns.
