They're calling this showcase "Drones," but really, that's a vast oversimplication. True, rich tones sustained at length could form part of the palette for each of tonight's sets. Still, no one-syllable word encompasses Ancient Oceans's bucolic guitar washes, Afterlife's burbling keyboard workouts, Long Distance Poison's moody analog-synth soundscapes and Hexbreaker Quartet's intuitive jazz-noise ambience.
