Soprano Anna Netrebko returns for a pair of performances as the doomed queen in David McVicar's detailed period production of Donizetti's Tudor tragedy. Betrayed by her lady-in-waiting Jane Seymour (played here by rising Russian mezzo Ekaterina Gubanova), Donizetti's queen is driven to madness before actually losing her head. Marco Armiliato conducts the marvelous Met Orchestra.
