Apollo Spring Gala

The fabled Harlem theater inducts two more musicians into its hall of fame: Lionel Richie, and the late, great Etta James. Providing the entertainment at tonight's starry gala are soul queen Gladys Knight, honoring James; plus disco dynamo Chaka Khan, who will sing a tribute to Whitney Houston; the O'Jays' Eddie Levert, who'll remember Don Cornelius; and Valerie Simpson, paying homage to her late husband, Nick Ashford. There will also be performances from Sinbad, Mary Mary and Danny Glover. Danny Glover! We'll see you in the cheap seats.
