In a promo video, Parisian singer and composer Arnaud Fleurent-Didier says he was born on the same day the soft porn movie Emmanuel was released, and he conforms to all those French stereotypes—romantic, whimsical, ridiculous—in a good way. The music sounds at times like a woozy take on early Air, like (Beck-admired) ’60s singer Jacques Dutronc, and it has rambunctious moments too. The title of his new album? La Reproduction, of course.
