Art and Revolution: Honoring Black August

At tonight’s celebration of black culture (courtesy of Target Free Thursdays), get a peak at scenes from music journalist Dream Hampton’s upcoming documentary, Black August: A Hip-Hop Benefit Concert, and watch metal–hip-hop hybrid group Game Rebellion perform live. The evening wraps up with a panel discussion on activism and art featuring director Keith Beauchamp (The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till) and Lumumba Bandele of the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, among others.
