Baby Dayliner + Five O'Clock Heroes

Local postlounge crooner Baby Dayliner offers one of the city's most pleasurable and eccentric pop experiences. Sure, his beats are funky and fun, but his lyrics have a disarming core of self-reflection that makes for a wry, sophisticated whole. We haven't heard from BD in a few years, so here's hoping he's got new material to share. Also on the bill is half-British, half-American group Five O'Clock Heroes, which reworks that orgiastic '80s keyboard sound, yet does so in a way that feels genuine and maintains a scruffy punk sensibility.
