Bard Music Festival

The annual summer festival shines light from various angles on Finland's most famous composer, Jean Sibelius, whose overwhelming popularity went hand in hand with derision from his modernist contemporaries. Over two weekends, 14 concerts and lectures will explore Sibelius's world, delving into his influences, those he influenced and why he stopped composing the last 30 years of his life.
