Basic NYC: Cajmere

Sleepy & Boo’s Basic NYC returns for another night of thumpity-thump action. Tonight’s edition gets the crowd moving with a jacking set from Chicago's Cajmere, the house artist who also makes tech-funk beats under the Green Velvet name. The DJ, producer and record-label honcho (Relief and Cajual are his babies) is celebrating two notable releases: a new album, It's Time, and a package of remixes of his classic "Percolator" track (both out on Cajual). Open Bar Music's Oscar P and Sleepy & Boo themselves complete the lineup.
