Benefit for the Frantz Casséus Young Guitarists Program

Downtown guitar god Marc Ribot hosts an evening devoted to his onetime teacher, the late, unjustly obscure guitarist Frantz Casséus, composer of gorgeous guitar works informed by his Haitian heritage. The bill includes Ribot and two other Casseus disciples, as well as Trio Blasphemy, vocalists Melanie Charles and Barbara Simon, and DJ Greg Caz. Like the title says, all proceeds benefit a Port-Au-Prince program for young guitarists founded in Casséus's name.
