Billy Bang Quartet

A galvanizing presence on the local avant-jazz scene since the late ’70s, violinist Billy Bang reinvented himself in the early aughts with a series of projects inspired by his experiences in the Vietnam War. He's currently supporting Prayer for Peace, a handsomely warm effort out recently on the Finnish label Tum.
