Blip Festival New York 2011

Vintage video-game consoles will be transformed into musical instruments for this event, put on by music and art collective 8bitpeoples and cultural organization the Tank. Performers include Brooklyn punk quartet Anamanaguchi, who scored last year’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World video game, and Austin artist Party Time! Hexcellent!, whose interactive animations are made using a Nintendo console. And if that’s not enough, arcade Babycastles will host an after-party each night, with live music, games and more.
