If there's any young composer you should be keeping an eye on, it's Mohammed Fairouz. The Borromeo Quartet presents the up-and-comer's latest opus, The Named Angels, which takes inspiration from Arabic Folklore, along with Lamentation and Satire and Chorale Fantasy. The Cygnus Ensemble will also perform Fairouz's song cycle Three Fragments of Ibn Khafajah with soprano Elizabeth Farnum; the evening ends with piano and song performances by Taka Kigawa, Blair McMillen and Kathleen Supové.
