Brad + Happy Chichester

Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard’s side project, Brad, emerged in the early ’90s, registering as a funkier, mellower version of his main gig. Still fronted by the vaguely Dave Matthews–sounding Shawn Smith, the band has polished its sound in the intervening years; but Brad still sounds like a grunge-era throwback on its latest, United We Stand.
