Brian Eno is famous for producing Coldplay and U2 albums, for inventing ambient music, for his role in Roxy Music, and for drinking his own pee and writing about it. While 1974's Here Come the WarmJets may not be your first association, it’s regarded by a lot of Eno’s fans as the One; a squally, sexy, weird album, it was made after Eno quit Roxy, and to this day sounds undatable. In 2013, it’ll be 40 years since Warm Jets was made, and in recognition of that milestone, a radio engineer named Rob Christiansen has transcribed the album for a live performance; band members include Vernon Reid, Joan Wasser, Travis Morrison of the Dismemberment Plan and Sohrab Habibion of Obits, with more guests to be announced. Should be something special.
