Broadway Blue Wave for New York

Broadway biggies perform a political concert to raise money and awareness for proressive causes in advance of the September 13 primary, in hopes of defeating the eight members of the so-called Independent Democratic Conference (who caucused with Republicans in the last New York State Senate session). Scheduled to appear are Laura Benanti, Taylor Schilling, Edie Falco, Kathleen Chalfant, Kathy Najimy, Annie Golden, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Javier Muñoz, MJ Rodriguez and gubornatorial candidate and Miranda-rights advocate Cynthia Nixon. Rachel Chavkin directs the event.
