Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival 2012

The two-night, multivenue fest, curated by the MeanRed clan and centered around Williamsburg's North 6th Street corridor (with outposts at the nearby Brooklyn Bowl and Villain Space), is back for its fourth edition—and the gang has really kicked it up a notch with a stunner of a lineup. Some highlights include Nicolas Jaar, playing his swooning, romantic music in a live set; Toddla T, a man who rocks the dance floor like few others; his fellow Brit Benji B, who, among many other claims to fame, rocks wide-ranging underground sounds on BBC Radio1; Jackmaster, one of the best DJs in the ever-expanding bass-music universe; Detroit's Omar-S, who transitions effortlessly between killer techno, house and soul cuts; and drum ’n' bass majordomo Photek, who's always managed to cut free of the genre's usual parameters.
